Dear Dopamine Community

Thank you for your enthusiasm about the Dopamine 2020 meeting in Montreal, Canada.

As you can imagine, in the context of the current situation, we must postpone the meeting (originally scheduled for May 17 – 21, 2020).

New dates are May 23 – 27, 2021

We thank you for your patience as we finalize details about rescheduling.

This is of course due to the novel coronavirus pandemic and the institutional and governmental travel restrictions aiming to protect public health.

For those who have already registered for the meeting, you will be contacted regarding a reimbursement or transferring your registration to the rescheduled meeting (May 23 – 27, 2021). A transfer of your registration would be easiest for us but you will be contacted to make the decision.

However, if you would prefer a reimbursement, please contact us directly via email () and a refund will be processed.  There is unfortunately a 5% credit card fee as the credit card companies already charged the fee during registration.

For those who have already booked travel, many airlines are offering cancellation fee waivers or credits due to the travel concerns and quarantines currently in effect. Please check the terms and conditions with your travel provider.  We will send a statement that the meeting is cancelled for public health and customs reasons if you need it.  Should you require this letter, please contact us via email () .

If you have booked your accommodation, there will be no charge to cancel the reservation from the two hotels that we reserved BUT PLEASE CALL THE SPECIFIC HOTEL DIRECTLY, we cannot do this.

If you have any questions / concerns / comments regarding the postponement of the Dopamine 2020 meeting, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Please take care of yourselves, your labmates and colleagues and families and friends. We hope to see you all when at the rescheduled meeting.

Sincerely,

Louis-Eric Trudeau and David Sulzer
